northwest arkansas real estate: Illocutionary is the new word of the day - 01/03/13 07:17 PM

Illocutionary is the new word of the day.
Just a couple of weeks ago I wrote about this using another word.  Until today I did not know there was more than that one word to explain what happens to me every day.  Now I have two words to try and use to explain my problem.  So I will not keep you in suspense any longer the meaning of (il’e kyoo’she ner’e) is of or having to do with that aspect of utterance which relates to the speaker’s intention as distinct from what is actually said.  That explains everything doesn’t it?  … (9 comments)

Xeric is the new word of the day.
Okay according to my Webster’s® there are not many words starting with the letter (X).  So I think this is the first word I’ve posted using a word beginning with that letter.  So since this is probably going to be difficult I’ll just cut to the chase and tell you the meaning of (zir’ik) is of, pertaining to or having dry or desert like conditions.  You know like this last summer we had.  Join us tomorrow for another journey into the wonderful world of Wordsmith.

northwest arkansas real estate: Penetration is the new word of the day - 04/23/12 08:51 PM

Penetration is the new word of the day.
Yes James said it penetration is the word of the day.  Now you people get your mind out of the gutter you should know better by now but for those of you who don’t just read on.  We as agents, inspectors, loan agents and the like need to have this ability to survive in this market. So before your mind goes back into the gutter the meaning of (pen’I tra’shen) is keenness of mind; discernment; insight.  We all need these abilities to cope and make headway in the market. Now what say … (10 comments)

Diffidence is the new word of the day.
Read the new word of the carefully.  Not that you have done so what do you think it means?  I’ve seen people who possess this problem.  Sometimes I’ve had this problem myself and I think most of us have experienced this problem from time to time.  So if you haven’t guess the meaning of (dif’e dens) is lack of confidence in oneself, marked by hesitation in asserting oneself; shyness.  So now what say you or do you know an agent who suffers from this problem?

Coruscation is the new word of the day...
I possess this sometimes.  You did catch the sometimes didn’t you?   Anyway it doesn’t happen often and as I grow in age the time frame seems to be getting longer and longer between them.  There are people whom I know and have known who possess this and still can use it at will.  Now for the meaning of (kor’eska’shen) is a sudden brilliant display as of wit.  What did you expect from me something informative?  Enjoy the day.

northwest arkansas real estate: Chickee is the new word of the day. - 02/15/12 10:22 PM

Chickee is the new word of the day.
I’ve seen these but not lately.  This for where it is located would be cheap to build.  If they say necessity is the reason you can sure put this one on the menu.  I bet ya this one was difficult to build with the tools at hand.  Anyway the meaning of (chik’e) is a Seminole Indian house built on stilts, with open sides and a thatched roof of palm leaves.

Haulm is the new word of the day.
In olden times and still in some places today homes are made of this.  While I think this is a good thing for some places do you think it is still useful now?  Have you had your thinking caps on and figured out the meaning of the word?  If not don’t feel lonesome so if you haven’t again don’t feel lonesome.  The meaning of {hom} is straw or hay used for thatching, bedding.  Interesting word isn’t it?

northwest arkansas real estate: Do you “elucidate” your clients? - 01/28/12 11:59 PM

Do you “elucidate” your clients?
I sure do and I bet you do to.  The thing is how do you do it?  For me it all depends on the client.  Some need more of this than others and some just want you to get on with it.  So the other question is how you determine which one to use.  OK the meaning of (e loo’se dat’) to make light or clear, to make clear, explain.  What say you?

I’ve walked into a home that was “foudroyant” have you?
I’ve done it a few times but not many.  All the homes my clients have purchased have risen to this quality.  I would like to think most property at one time or the other was this but then beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Now for the meaning of (foo droi’ent) it is simply dazzling or stunning.  You know you have the right home when your client walks in and says WOW!!  What say you?

Do you “digitigrade’ around some of the homes you show?
For some of you this won’t be hard to figure out before I give you the meaning. As for me I would not have a clue unless I read the rest of this post.  If you comment on this I would like to know what your first thought was before reading the meaning speaking of which the meaning of (-grad) walking on the toes with the heels not touching the ground.  So have you walked on your toes while showing property?  What say you?

I had no idea they have a word for this.
Yep I called it something totally different but comes to find out there is a word for this.  I wonder how many of you knew this word and what it meant.  The word is “cocotte” and it makes me wonder who in the world thought of this one.  Anyway the meaning of (ko kat’) is a small casserole for a single portion of food.  Who would have thunk it?
