Food advertisements often use “food stylists” to style food for advertisements. For example, food stylists for roasted chicken will pull the skin tight on the chicken and sew it up with a needle and thread. Then they will stuff the chicken with wet paper towels, which keeps the chicken plump and creates steam. The … (10 comments)

This is a continuation of my series of things most people don’t know about our food supply.
According to my research these are items, things etc the FDA allows in our food supply.  You may check it out yourselves to verification.
The FDA says food products can contain a certain amount of “foreign matter,” a term that includes cigarette butts for that special smoky flavor.  Just one more for today:  What smells better than cinnamon bark, bay leaves and cocoa beans?  Fact is the FDA allows for a smidgen of “mammalian excreta” to end up in the mix.  It doesn’t … (13 comments)

A car uses 1.6 ounces of gas idling for one minute.  Half an ounce is used to start the average automobile!  Tablecloths were originally meant to be served as towels with which dinner guests cold wipe their hands and faces after eating.  One last one for today.  The Mona Lisa has no … (11 comments)

Disjecta membra is the new word(s) of the day.
This should be a good one.  For some of you this should be a giveaway for others not so much.  I pride myself on this.  Some of you are like me while some others have mastered this I have not.  I am on a quest to master this but I don’t think it will happen.  The meaning of (dis jek’te mem’bre) is scattered parts or fragments, as of an author’s writings.  WAIT! My writings are scattered as in scattered brain.  Maybe I have mastered this.  Join us tomorrow for another journey … (10 comments)

Nutant is the new word of the day.
There are some of you who I could suspect should know this word.  I’m talking about Ms. Paula, Ms. Ambassador, Joshua and Michael just to name a few.  Sorry but I can’t give you any more hints for if I do I would give the meaning and that of course would defeat the purpose of the post.  So anyway the meaning of (noo’ tent) is with the top bent downward; drooping; nodding; said of plants.  Quite frankly I’ve seen dogs, cats, and humans do this when someone is scolding them.  What say … (11 comments)
