The National Association of Realtors released their existing home sales report today. Nationally sales for February were up 4.4% compared to January 2009 but were still down 3.6% from February 2008. Asheville Real Estate-Existing Home Sales Report for January - 03/03/09 07:01 PM
The North Carolina Association of REALTORS released their existing home sales report today.
The most unexpected part of the report had Asheville's average sale price rise 8% to $309,770.
More in line with what we have come to expect lately was the number of existing homes sold fell 49% to 90.
And the total dollar volume dropped 45% to $27,879,361.

The Asheville Real Estate Market continues to drop.  3-1-2009.
An  early look at the numbers for the Asheville Real Estate Market for February 2009 shows that the total number of homes sold and the average sale price continues to drop year over year for February. 
Number Homes Sold                          -29.1%                  242
Total Dollar Volume                           -33.4%                  56,423,517
Average Listing Price                        -4.75%                  247,979
Average Sale Price                              -5.66%             233,155
Average Days on Market                  +20.3%                 142
