Welcome to my new blog!  I live in one of the most beautiful parts of Texas.  My town, Fredericksburg, is right in the middle of what is known as the 'Heart of the Texas Hill Country'".  If you like limestone bluffs, rolling Oak studded hills and meandering creeks, then you would like it here.

I would like to share with others about this area and it's interesting real estate market.  It surprises me sometimes, but more and more people from all over the country have heard about Fredericksburg.  It is like a secret that gets passed on, from person to person. 

Our little town was founded in 1846 by German Immigrants.  Fredericksburg Texas has been a fairly closed community for many many years (some would say hermetically sealed).  Not too many years ago one would usually hear 'Guten Taq' instead of 'Good Morning' when out and about.  When my husband, two sons and I moved here 17 years ago, it was charming.  We both studied the German language in College (University of Texas (UT), go Longhorns!!) and could understand some of it.  Interestingly, the isolation of the community had created a dialect that is considered a separate language and is currently being studied at UT because it is becoming extinct.  Anyway, that was just the beginning of what we were to discover that was unique about this area.  Becoming a REALTOR® has been rewarding for each of us.  Besides earning a living (yes I know that these are trying times), it has been a great excuse to roam the awesome countryside.  Yes, we actually do it for relaxation.  Over time it has allowed us to fall farther in love with what any Texan would call God's Country!
