                                                                                                   Slowly, slowly,  but surely,surelyyear after year,you see them there-Asheville's trees,those tall to tallest residentsgetting bare,one day at a time,as the seasons arrive,and those statuesque beauties displayall their shadesof being.
November now,and scant weighsthe interlude of light,so fast turns day to night. The sky - the softest gray,the trees- sparingly clad,are getting Naked!You grin to see the poplar, birch,and hickoryraise boney limbs,shed down to skeletons,in perfect tunewith Asheville's mountain winds-that letting go,that bending without quetionto Nature's whims.

Rainwater harvesting,  permaculture, edible landscape design, and abundant common green space is evident in the plans at The ECO Villages at Crest Mountain in Asheville, NC...and I am excited about the prospect.

asheville green communities: WHAT is Cluster Housing, Again? (Series Starts Here) - 09/02/10 03:50 PM
I'm excited about the idea of a closely-knit gathering of energy-efficient, green-built homes, especially if they are affordable and on a small footprint!    I am attracted to the notion of rounding up 10-or-so homes on a small-ish enough parcel of land so that  people who live there naturally gravitate to contributing their ideas, talents, and leadership skills in a neighborly way.  But that's me, and when it comes to added value for my clients, I'm not objective.
