marketing: What are you goals for 2010? - 10/23/09 12:16 PM
Goal Planning and You! I'm sure we all look back at things we have spent money on and kicked ourselves for it, why not share and give each other a heads up! I think we all need to start gearing up for next year, come out of the gates with a bang! We are in the last quarter of 2009, have you made any goals yet for 2010? Since the market changed, what types of advertising do you feel worked best for you that you will continue doing next year and what will you drop from your ad budget? Also, with

marketing: DON'T BLAME THE PHOTOGRAPHER! - 06/04/07 01:16 PM
Oh, and if the listing doesn't sell... DON'T BLAME THE PHOTOGRAPHER! I am a professional phoographer, as well as a realtor, and I shoot for many other agents. On many occasions, home owners, who refuse to price their house to sell, instead blame the photographer now! There is one house in particular, a new construction for around $4 mil that has been doing this. It's been on while under construction and once that was finished, the hired me in to take photos. At first they were thrilled, saying how fabulous th ephotos were and loved the virtual tour I did as

marketing: Are you a cronic assumer? ;) Book recommendation too! - 05/07/07 12:13 AM
I was reading a book tonight, which is really quite interesting. It brings a lot of points up as to human nature. One of which, happens to be assumptions. It points out how it creates really bad communication and kills relationships. This is especially true in sales and marketing, isn't it? How many times have you assumed you knew what someone wanted and they ended up really wanting something else? Or you assumed they knew to call you if they found a house, only to find out they didn't really think they needed to and assumed they needed to go through

marketing: Buyer in the Box - 04/23/07 02:50 AM
How many of you have had buyers who contact you online, never want to talk on the phone, love to get listings emailed to them, but never seem to want to go out to look at the houses? I've had a few of those, and I have to tell you - it's as bad as dating! HAHA After a while, you just figure, ah, they just want to look online, chat with agents, and aren't going to do anything. Harmless Buyer in the Box. But what's funny is, I actually started having wacky dreams about these buyers being internet based robots!

marketing: Digital Image Tips: - 04/16/07 01:40 PM
Digital Image Tips: Understanding image resolution is the key to good images. Here are a few rules to help you get the best image quality you can. 1. Digital images are made up of pixels Think of image resolution as the density of pixels in your image. The more dense it is, the better quality image you will have at larger sizes. The less dense it is, the poorer the image will look at larger sizes. 2. Resolution is often expressed as pixels per inch (PPI) These numbers look like this; 640x480, or 1024x768, and they refer to how many pixels are

marketing: What do you REALLY do for your clients??? I mean REALLY.... - 04/15/07 02:22 AM
Do you make a list of all the things you do for your clients, whether buyers or sellers - or make a full list of how much money you actually spend on every little thing you do? Sit down and really think about this - next time you go for a listing appointment, you will remember your self worth - not to mention you can make a list to show your clients how much work you actually do! They may offer you more! lol I have a list started, do you have anything to add to it?This is my list for

marketing: Useful Tips from the Gadget Girl! - 04/11/07 02:38 PM
Go go Gadget! Useful tips for everyone! FREE Programs that are great too! Lately, there have been some nasty viruses, spyware, adware and other malicious web-based trixters that are annoying, to say the least! They slow down your computer, can do crazy things like render your cd burner useless, or try installing things you really do not want installed. Having been through 3 bad viruses that attacked my laptop, wreaking havoc on installing new programs and burning cds, I got into the habit of updating my virus software daily - but not only that, I dump my temp internet files and
