The Homeowners who have lost their homes due to job loss, or due to a mortgage payment increase that they did not expect, is heartbreaking.

First Time Homebuyers Tax Credit Changes Again - 02/13/09 09:31 AM
This probably will not be the final version of this Tax Creidt for Home Buyers, but as it evolves I am keeping my clients posted.
As I noted in my last blog about the Homebuyer's Tax Credit, there was promise of a $15,000 credit to home-buyers. It has now changed into an $8,000 tax credit for first-time home-buyers only. A fist time buyer is usually classified as someone who has not owned a home in the last three years. With all of the affordable "Bank Owned Homes in Temecula", it is great news that the City of Temecula is offering a "First Time Buyer Program". This Program will provide down payment assistance as a second loan to (qualified income) first time home buyers.
The Program will be available to anyone who has not owned a home in the last three (3) years and meets the income qualification guidelines for annual income

Senate passed an increase on the homebuyers tax break. This is not a law yet and is part of the stimulus plan that is being revised every day. The proposal would allow a tax credit of 10 percent of the value of new or existing residences, up to a $15,000 limit. Current law provides for a $7,500 tax break for the purchase of new homes only.
