wine: Oak Mountain Wine Pick Up Party - 09/07/08 09:46 AM
Oak Mountain the quaintest little wineryin the Temecula Valley had it's Wine Pick Up party last Friday Night.  Pick up of the wine, that it.  These are current pictures of the grapes now on the vine.

 
Next time I will have to take some pictures of the people, but I was so into the grapes....and then it became to dark to take pictures.

Valerie and Steve are grape harvestors before anything else.

 
I just love the feeling of this winery.  You can see by the pictures how graceful the setting is and how peaceful too!

wine: The best kept secret in the Temecula Wine Country - 08/19/08 08:25 PM

 Oak Mountain Winery      
This is one of the newer wineries in Temecula.  A little off the beaten path, along the De Portola Road wine trail.
 I just discovered it and it is one of the best I have visited.  This is an authentic family owned winery.  If you like reds this is the winery for you!  Some of the wineries here in Temecula are more commercialized, they are popular but not authentic.  Some do not make their own wines or even grow theirown grapes....This one does.  Steve & Valerie are the owners they pour wine right along with their staff almost every weekend weekend.  Enjoy!
