Before Someone Else Brings It Up, I am Getting There First - 03/24/10 10:48 PM
O.K. Before you all start with all the California jokes, you know: The fastest part of your commute is down your driveway. You need a new T.V. and can run down the local riot and pick one up. You drive to your local neighborhood party. You don't exterminate your roaches, you smoke them. Your family tree contains "significant others". Your cat has its own psychiatrist ......etc. etc. I will save you the trouble: There is an initiative on the November ballot to legalize marijuana. Polls show that a majority of voters in California want it legalized, but whether the margin will (32 comments)

A Great Way to Keep the Floors and Carpets Clean at your Open House - 03/13/10 11:58 PM
I went to the Home Buyers Fair at the Los Angeles Convention Center today. I found it disappointing overall. Very few exhibitors, many of whom were out-of-town agents offering to find me a home. However, I did come across a great idea for keeping the carpets and flooring clean at open houses. No more booties. No more asking people to take their shoes off so that they can't go out into the backyard. Step and Clean Sticky Mat. Great for pets also.

The Proxy Error has been rearing its ugly head a lot lately, which is frustrating when you are trying to get to so many blog posts at once and have limited time. Here are a couple of tricks to prevent you from throwing your computer out the window in frustration: When you get the proxy error just hit the back button and clear your cache and go right back to where you wanted to go. 2010 Academy Awards - What's Your Guess? - 03/05/10 09:41 PM
it's that time of the year again, the Academy Awards. And this IS Los Angeles. I certainly wasn't going to ignore one of the most watched events in the world, even though I wasn't invited. Or at least my invitation didn't arrive. I have seen many movies stars in the street, in restaurants, in the car next to me over the years, but I still get excited and all silly when one pops up. And I am still a fan of the Oscars. It is pure escapism. So, below is a ballot covering the main categories. Want to join (50 comments)
I Need to Get Out More, or Move to Vegas - 03/03/10 10:46 PM
Little by little I am seeing the power of social media, and blogging in particular. I have been found by two small buyers - I don't mean small in stature, I mean small in buying power - and numerous people trying to sell me something. I think I must be pretty high on whatever Google juice is filling that trough. Then today Schmap contacted me via email. Yep, Schmap. You have got to love the name. They are big in digital travel guides apparently. In any event, photographer I ain't. Point and click, that's me. I think my camera just (48 comments)
