The First Quarter of 2013 is already over and we should take a look at how Century City condos did in that Quarter compared with the last Quarter of 2012.
Together with the Wilshire Corridor, Century City has one of the few concentrated collections of full-service high-rise communities and, unlike the Corridor, gated ones, with grounds on which to walk.

In many areas of Los Angeles the year got off to a slow start in terms of real estate sales and certainly new homes coming on the market.  One of the more desirable neighborhoods is Century City, and last year showed that the market was geared towards sellers.

Century City continues to be a popular neighborhood for those seeking full service buildings, with amenities and plenty of outdoor space.  As with many other neighborhoods, inventory is low, but let’s see what happened in October as far as sales and new listings:

If you are looking for a Century City Condo for sale, let’s check out the market so far this year.  The figures in the 2011 and 1st Qtr columns are the differences over the previous period.

The Century City condos market is definitely improving.  Sales are up over the same period last year and the first quarter of 2012.   The median price is mostly steady or up slightly and except for The Century and Century Hill, the buildings are in a sellers’ market.  The ?? status means there is not enough information to establish which way those buildings … (10 comments)

How is the Century City condo market faring?  Let’s see how the 1st Qtr of 2012 compares with the same period in 2011.

Number sold:  22, a 29.41% increase over the same period last year.
Median Price:  $738,700, a 26.27% increase over the same period last year.
There are 76 active listings and with an average sale of 7.33 per month over the past 3 months the absorption rate is 10.37.  This means it will take that long to sell the existing inventory based on the previous average.

Century City condos for sale right now, run from $272,000 for a 1 bed, 1 bath, 500 sq. ft. unit at Century Park East to $8 million for a 4 bed 5.5 bath, 4,497 sq. ft. unit at The Century.
