The Wilshire Corridor is a a two mile section of Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood known for its upscale high rise condo buildings.
I am often asked which are the best buildings on the Wilshire Corridor?  Now that is a difficult question to answer objectively.  It ireally depends on what you are looking for in a building.  Most of them are full service, with 24/7 concierge and valet service, but there may be other features which are important to you:

The Los Angeles real estate market is heavily favoring sellers.  Prices are rising, days on the market slowly dropping, and inventory extremely low.  So let’s see how the Wilshire Corridor condo market is doing so far this year.  The luxury market has started to pick up, but is still slower than the more moderately priced market.

Sold:  16 – low price $350,000, high price $2,830,000.  This is 4 down from the same period in 2012.
Median price:  $522,400 - down 6.71% over the same period in 2012.
Average days on the market:  147 – up 44 days over 2012.
Sold price vs list price:  95.83% – up 4.7% over 2012.

It is the new year and time to see what happened with the Wilshire Corridor condo market in January. There is a desperate shortage of inventory, sales prices are rising, and the luxury market which has been stagnant for a while is finally starting to move. So, let’s take a look:

If you are looking for the best value on the Wilshire Corridor, then I would definitely direct you to the Wilshire Regent, at 10501 Wilshire Blvd.  The prices are very reasonable compared the rest of the Wilshire Corridor and the homeowners dues the lowest for the type of building.  They also include all amenities, including cable.

Units in the building do not have a washer and dryer but the 10th floor and above have units on either side and there is a good commercial laundry on the 5th floor.

The Wilshire Corridor consists for the most part of high-rise condominium buildings, each unit being owned by a private party.  There are a few apartment complexes, but when people think Wilshire Corridor they think of the luxury full-amenity condo buildings.
