We have SO MANY great restaurants in Blowing Rock, NC.  It is hard to believe that in such a small area, size wise, that we have so many choices.  I am just going to name a few.
Twigs   - BEST crab cakes I have EVER had.  I seriously crave them!!! Great bar with live entertainment on the weekends.
Knights on Main  - Fridays are fish days - great fried oysters and flounder
Bitro Roca  - hidden away gem - great bar
Storie Street Grille  - best veggie plate in town

Now don't be offended by the headline because I know that WE ALL think our dog is the cutest in the World but I just wanted to share a few pics of mine.
She is so funny because all she cares about is sleeping and eating.  She just thinks that is what God put her on this planet to do.  She is funny!! What a begger.....

Great Weather and increased traffic in the High Country - 04/21/09 11:25 AM
I don't know about your area, but we have had a LONG WINTER in the High Country!  It started snowing in November and was still snowing this month, April.  However, thank goodness it seems that Spring is finally here.
I am very happy for the Ski lodges that we had a great winter because they deserve it.  However, for my business, Realty and Cars, the better weather definitey improves sales. It is part of the 3rd annual "Blue Ridge Food & Wine Festival" and it is alot of fun. It will be held at the Hayes performing Arts Center from April 18-19th. Buyers need to beware of some of the practices of some of the lending companies out in the marketplace.  With interest rates so low and so many first time home buyers looking to gain their dream of getting their first home, they may sometimes do anything a lender tells them in order to obtain a loan.
However, this is another reason for a buyer to listen to their Realtor and make sure that they get several opinions and go to a reputable lender. They could possibly even give you names of people who have used them in the past and have success stories to tell.
