I know, houses don't talk, but when a buyer views a house they are basically reading a story. The curb appeal says 'come on in'. Each room says 'you could be comfortable here' or at least it should.
Although white is a neutral it can be perceived as cold and lifeless.
Something is needed to add colour and warmth. You can use paint and/or add accessories.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
By adding artwork and accessories this room now ignites the buyer's imagination. They can see themselves watching TV with a warm fire glowing in the fireplace.
