Webster defines community as: “a unified body of individuals” or “the people with common interests living in a particular area”; and, there is no better definition to exemplify Suwanee, GA. This past week Suwanee citizens came together to provide muscle and sweat to prepare for the opening of one more of the many city parks that City officials had purchased -The theme for White Street Park is a community garden – specifically Square Foot Gardening. janice slaven: OUCH!!! STRADDLING THE FENCE MIGHT HURT MORE THAN YOU THINK! - 06/11/08 10:02 PM
The consensus is pretty much the same across the board...worst housing market since the mid-70's; and, longer lasting. Looking back over years past, current housing prices are at 2002 and 2003 levels nationally. If you have listened to the media you would want to bury your head in the sand and wait for "better" days. For Atlanta, the writing was on the wall in 2007. As the year progressed, we all saw the housing market slow. And, foreclosures currently continue to dominate the Atlanta market. janice slaven: SUWANEE GA - DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN??? - 04/09/08 10:05 PM
Over my 20 years as a Suwanee resident I sure have seen A LOT of changes. I like what I am seeing, but it does give me pause to take a moment and look back... and, remember when? Here is what I remember. I hope all you Suwanee locals will share with me your "I remember when". Let's just see how far back our memories can take us: Nobody even knew where Suwanee GA was - let alone have our city rated #10 best place to live in the U.S. Suwanee Elementary was the only elementary school feeding into North Gwinnett High School Peachtree Industrial
