There is a special emphasis on "natural horsemanship" and we were especially thrilled to see both Pat and Linda Parelli, Stacey Westfall, Josh Lyons as well as Tommy Turveyi. Steeplechase horse racing has a long and colorful history. Starting as far back as the 1700's in England and Ireland and based on fox hunting, a steeple chase is a full out horse race run over rivers, jumps and obstacles much like those you would find in the field during a fox hunt. Horse communities are cropping up all over the US. With HorseProperties.net stating that the US has the highest horse population in the world, it's no wonder! Within the US, Florida has the third largest horse population and has quite a few established and new equestrian communities to serve our happy horse lovers.
