While in NYC this weekend I passed the Farmers Market... Warm weather has the markets with plentiful amounts of radishes a bit early I'm told. Fresh and a bit spicy. A Google search says the greens can be sauted with garlic, and so I included the tasty stems in some stir fry tonight. Enjoying the warm weather and great veggies.. My local CSA is opening this week. I’m excited as it is truly now the beginning of summer!

This April students from NFA went to Houston Texas to compete in the 2012 Shell EcoMarathon Competition. The Students’ Cars out distanced and produced more Solar Energy Than Any Other Team. I was visiting my daughter Allison in Boulder, Colorado about a week ago. She promised me that we could go look for the cute little praire dogs that live around the area, as I had never seen one before. We set out one morning hopeful for a prairie dog sighting!! I was not disappointed. These little furry things run quickly and are really quite small. QUIET?? No way! The make quite a bit of noise.... they certainly were not speechless!

Last weekend I spent in Boulder, Colorado with my daughter Allie. It was an early "Mother’s Day's" weekend, doing all sorts of fun things together.
The flowers were blooming and this rose was just beginning to open up. I guess if I was out there this weekend instead I would have missed the beautiful buds just starting to open. It is all in the timing when taking photos.
Time with my daughter doesn't need a "holiday" to declare it special...as my Mother's Day came early this year.
