Yesterday my husband called and asked me how much gas I had in the car. I informed him only about 1/8 of a tank, if that. He said, "you better leave right now and go fill up." When I inquired as to the reason why, he said that stations everywhere were running out of gas and cars were lined up for city blocks waiting to fill-up.
So, out I go to find gas. And sure enough everywhere I went there were lines. I went to my usual fill up place, waited in line for 20 minutes only to be allowed to … (1 comments)

Open houses, is there a trick to getting buyers to them? As I sat at an open house today alone, I was pondering why exactly it I was there. After much advertising and setting up I had exactly 3 people come through, one was a neighbor who came in to tell me exactly why the house was not going to sell, (really did not want her opinion in the first place) and the other one was an admirer from a far. I am interested, and have looked for a way to put all my contact information on my blog posts, but can't seem to find it in any of the edit modes.
Many of you have these at the bottom of your blogs posts that has all your information included, tells a little about yourself and contact information, etc. I am going to assume you don't type all this stuff in each time you post to your blog, so can someone direct me to where I enter this info in at?

Gustav getting ready to hit land - 09/01/08 09:03 AM
Here they go again, almost three years to the date of hurricane Katrina, hurricane Gustav is getting ready to hit New Orleans again.
My heart and sympathy go out to the people of New Orleans. I can only imagine the turmoil some of these families are going through, possibly losing their homes a second time around.
While the uncertainty is almost too much to bear, while watching interviews of residents of New Orleans, I still hear a spark of hope in their voices.
My prayers go out to all of those people who have evacuated and those who have stayed … (2 comments)
