First impressions are everything. I was out showing some really nice homes yesterday. I showed one in Bittersweet Dells, a few in Bridgewater, and then this beauty The listing agent called me before the showing and told me that the carpet in the living room was going to be replaced. She also encouraged me to tell my buyers to look past the damaged carpet during the showing. Well... They couldn't. We walked into this $220,000 home (expensive in our area) and the first thing that met us was a very strong urine smell. One of my (16 comments)
I'll Say It Again... Blogging DOES Work. - 05/26/12 05:05 AM
Two years ago I had a buyer call me and tell me he and his wife were relocating to the area. He said that he had to find a home in the next 48 hours or so. As tough as it was, I cleared my schedule and took them out for two days straight. I won't go into details, but it was two of the most chaotic days I have ever had. It was awesome! After looking at about 15 homes, my buyers decided that none of the homes were a perfect fit, and that they were going to rent for (11 comments)
Here We Are! - 05/19/12 04:48 AM
For those few of you that actually follow my blog, I wanted to give you an update. Last week we met with Jim Torres of The Torres Team at Century 21 Bradley Realty. This past week has been a blur. Transferring everything over is quite a headache, but will be well worth it. Combine that with working with seven buyers and six new sellers... there (18 comments)
I'll never forget the day I met Jack and Jill and their two young hellions... I mean kids. The son was six, the daughter was four. They were both out of control. It was cute at first. Then as the son knocked the vase off of the coffee table in the living room because he was practicing wind sprints, and then the daughter decided to stand on my feet, grab my pockets, and look up at me and scream bloody hell... The cuteness quickly wore off. :) This time around I was only showing them one (78 comments)
You Snoozed. You Losed. - 05/03/12 05:57 AM
Okay. I know snoozed and losed aren't real words. I just wanted to get your attention. Story time. I recently had some buyers that found the perfect home for them. It was a home priced under market value in South West Fort Wayne. The size was perfect, the area was perfect, and it had a pond in the back yard. Oh, and It was priced $20,000 less than the other homes I have showed them. Did I already say it was perfect for them?? Well... when I showed it to them last Thursday and saw how much they loved (16 comments)
