bni: Business Networking Tip #160 - Cell Phone Etiquette | Networking with Intention - 05/24/10 06:20 AM
Networking Tip #160 - Business Networking Tips that Work. What do yoo do when your cell phone goes off in a network meeting? Pretend it's someone else's cell phone, just whisper so that no one can hear you. Having your cell phone go off in a meeting of any kind is not only rude but destroys your creditability. Your ringtone may be totally cool, but what you just told me was that you don't think this meeting is as important as your phone calls and that you could care less what I think of you. In other words, you're cooler

I'm continuing my series of 60 second presentations for many reasons, but one of them is to promote the aweseom members we have at the Chateau Elan Networking Elites Group located in the Chateau Elan area. If you missed it, you can see Tony Woodall with Coffee News here. This time I'm highlight Taun Henderson (rhymes with "Shawn"), with Compupay - a payroll and servicing company. Taun is an awesome speaker and mentor for our chapter. He has helped me break down networking and teach me how to get and more importantly how to give more out of it. Taun's famous

Chateau Elan Netowrking Elites BNI group has become the premiere group in the Chateau Elan area located in Braselton, GA. BNI, like the chamber of commerce has a 60 second commercial or elevator pitch or spotlight presentation. Most new networkers have never done one and, although I am completely biased, I think we have some of the best. Here's Tony Woodall with the Coffee News:

bni: Chateau Elan Networking Group Responsible For $1.5 Milllion in Volume - 07/15/08 07:27 AM
Although we started this networking group back in May of '08, we didn't begin in earnest until Jan of '09. Year to date I have had over 3 Million in referrals passed to me, with $1.5 Million currently listed. Now one might look at that and suggest it has something to do with the Chateau Elan location. Actually, no, most of the referrals have been first time home buyers or first time sellers. The best referral so far has been from Jeff Powell of Professional Pool Service to list this beautiful home in Lawrenceville at 333 Brook Lea Cove, Lawrenceville GA.

bni: What's YOUR greatest Referral source? - 08/01/07 01:11 PM
I just got back from my weekly networking meeting and one of the questions that we all had is what is your greatest referral source. Specifically, what is someone or something that produces the most business for you. I'd like to exclude the internet as well as any other advertising as these are NOT referrals. I am talking about someone picking up the phone or meeting you in person and not just passing information but setting you up for success as well. The kind of business where you walk in the door with instant rapport. With that in mind, What's YOUR greatest NEW

bni: Networking Groups: Are you working them? - 07/26/07 07:24 AM
Yesterday, I had a great informational session to start a networking group in an area near to me. The group is being "chartered" by BNI (Business Networking International). This is a company that helps set up and maintain networking groups with some rigid standards regarding attendance and education. My question is, with the proliferation of these groups, which ones are you using and what's working for you personally AND your bottomline? For instance, I'm planning on getting involved in our local Kiwanis group, for the personal side but the BNI meeting is almost purely for referrals.
