Networking Tip #160 - Business Networking Tips that Work. What do yoo do when your cell phone goes off in a network meeting?
Pretend it's someone else's cell phone, just whisper so that no one can hear you. Having your cell phone go off in a meeting of any kind is not only rude but destroys your creditability. Your ringtone may be totally cool, but what you just told me was that you don't think this meeting is as important as your phone calls and that you could care less what I think of you.

Everything goes in cycles, the world, life, the real estate market and technology. Twitter is just a new school chat room and Myspace might as well be called geocities 2.0. Well, I'm here to share with you somehting that could be the next great thing in 2009, or at least something that you want to be a part of.

Blitztime is a platform or technology that enhances a tele-seminar by adding the abilitiy to have one on one sessions.

Everyone has heard of Facebook by now, but how many of you are using it for business. Let's get something straight up front, it's not about being dissengenuious, it's about connecting and networking. Those who follow me on Twitter or Facebook understand the reason my cheesy slogan is "Real in Real Estate."

Awful cold...
7 AM - Preparing for BNI Meeting: Chateau Elan Networking Elites - A network meeting where people pass referrals to one another.
Mainly my goals today are to make all my meetings be productive. I'm going to monitor my e-mail but my call list doesn't have anyone on it.
8:00 AM - Leaving for the meeting, I have a new 60 second presentation utilizing the letter "M"
8:15 AM - I'm there with about 10 others getting ready to start.
8:30 AM - People are sitting, it's not netSIT so I am getting them up to WORK.

I recently came across another online networking site similiar to Active Rain. Zolve, actually says it's the myspace for Real Estate professionals. If that's true, then I can only hope that Realtors will put their favorite obnoxious music, unprofessional photos of themselves in precarious positions and use text speak on their "blogs" so that I will shine just a little bit more.
Truth is, I've been using that comparison to try to explain what Active Rain is to my office. Anytime anyone hears myspace, they either think, "oh, cool" or just "oh" and then frown. If you're on the internet you've likely … (13 comments)
