twitter: The Twitter Bandwagon Doesn't Travel Overseas - 02/10/10 08:54 AM
I read quite a lot about the Tech industry and Real Estate industry. I also have interest in overseas business which led me to some interesting blogs. What's pretty interesting is the number of Real Estate agents involved in Technology. Scary really. When your primary function as a business owner is to: Generate Leads Service Real Estate Needs Using Expertise It seems pretty silly to think that agents are becoming SEO & Social Media Gurus when their primary tasks should be following up on these leads. America Loves real estat though so yes, I include myself in this group techy agents.

twitter: Twitter Just Became Relevant - 10/26/09 05:02 AM
If you asked me on any day before October 21st about Twitter, I would tell you what my opinion was: "Twitter is a news feed. It's great for news, PR and corporate entities. It's not worth a Real Estate Agent's time to be on there unless they are researching opinions, ect. Interactions are weak, it's like having coffee pot conversations on the net. Pretty useless interactions, good to have your blog automate postings to it." I stand corrected today. As of October 21st, Google & Bing have decided to INDEX twitter posts! That doesn't mean you should go and sign up

twitter: Atlanta Ranks #13 on Twitter for the Most Activity - 11/01/08 02:24 PM
According to TwitterLocal.net, Atlanta, GA ranks as the 13th most active area for Tweets. If you aren't using Twitter then there's probably a good reason. If you are like me you thought it was a mindless update on what someone is doing at a given time, but it's actually a live world with endless research opportunities and a great way to stay in touch. What baffles me (more on using twitter later) is that it would seem that the West Coast should be all over this and based on just the relationships I have here locally that no is using Twitter.

twitter: Twitter Inspired Accountability Test - Review of Chronicles of Jarvinia - 10/29/08 06:45 AM
If you've been reading any of my blogs then you know I was trying something out with an accountability test. For those of you who don't know, here's the basics of what I was trying to do. A few times a year I write down my activities every 15 minutes or so. Am I on point? Am I focused? It really helps to see if I am. Twitter is still something relatively new to me and I had the same opinion as my wife about it, "going out the door... sticking keys into car...wondering why the door is still unlocked...." Doesn't

twitter: Using Facebook For Business - From a BlitzTime Call W/ Jake Press - 10/28/08 09:46 AM
Everyone has heard of Facebook by now, but how many of you are using it for business. Let's get something straight up front, it's not about being dissengenuious, it's about connecting and networking. Those who follow me on Twitter or Facebook understand the reason my cheesy slogan is "Real in Real Estate." I was on a great new service called BlitzTime which lets you do conference calls and speed networking all in one! It's a great service and a perfect platform for a class on utilizing facebook for business. I tweeted the key points but here they are in LONG BLOGORIPHIC

twitter: Accountability Test - Twitter Inspired, Active Rain Initiated - 10/19/08 08:11 PM
I recently blogged about accountability and I am about to put myself to the test! After working with Twitter for some time now and reading a very interesting article about a Luxury real estate agent, I got the smart idea to blog my week. To see if I am active as I say I am. We'll see. It sounds good to say you called 200 people, but where'd the other few hours go? So my plan is blog in detail what I am doing when I am doing it on Active Rain and post occasional updates on Twitter/Facebook and LinkedIn. I
