My first email newsletter is complete. I'm pretty happy with it. There are a few things I will change for next month but I wanted to get the September issue out. I am now realizing that marketing yourself as well as your listings on-line is a full-time job in itself! I have been in the field for a few years and I use FMLS, realtor.com, my company's website and a few others but until just recently I had not branched out to utilize other helpful sites. I do believe I read somewhere that approximately 75-77% of buyers search the Internet for homes which means it is imperative to be on-line in this industry. I have compiled a nice size list of sites that are useful for Realtors to list their homes on.

I have been doing some research on online marketing techniques. The ideas and information out there is endless...could take years to read all this! However I found something interesting using AIDA...the 4 standard steps of direct marketing. These are used in reference to the structure of webpages.

I just recently started using Real Bird (www.realbird.com). It's a great real estate tool especially with the listing maps it creates. It is always nice to find free marketing ideas especially when the housing market is slower these days.
