palos verdes cove: A Week of Whales - 09/07/10 04:06 PM
On Thursday, August 26, 2010 I must have seen over 50 whales just off the coast of Palos Verdes at Pt Vicente. I have lived facing that view for over 30 years and have seen some pretty spectacular showings, however, this way the record. I was able to shoot a long and sometimes bumpy video, seen at www.palosverdeswhales.com Here is another shorter video I took on Saturday which features some of the local tidepools as well. The activity has really slowed down and I am not seeing many whales at all anymore. Every day last week they were just

palos verdes cove: Whale migration off Palos Verdes - 08/31/10 12:48 PM
I have lived here over 30 years and I have never seen anything like this. The last several days there have been a Blue and Fin whale migration just a few hundred feet off the coast of Palos Verdes. "Everything grows with love" I was first thinking about plants, but quickly changed to people. Encouragement, positive support, and helping someone are acts of love, and they help people grow. Pretty neat. This is a special plant in my yard that only blooms in June for

palos verdes cove: Prints of Hermosa Beach makes Flyers & Signs - 08/04/10 04:55 PM
I have started to use Prints of Hermosa Beach for my flyers and signs. They do really good professional work. They were located on Hermosa Ave in Hermosa Beach and just moved into a new location across from Eat At Joes on PCH and Carnelian. They have the big black building. I used "you send it" and sent 88mb worth of photos to Dean and he was able to handle the whole process smoothly and quite quickly. I really like how he used the photos and the colors to accent the property. They are a great resource for the South Bay
