According to Business Week magazine, East Austin is one of the very best possible places to purchase a home in the United States.
This one even managed to surprise me, and I have been selling homes in the Austin area since 1997. In the article they published a couple of weeks ago, Business Week made an interesting point: home prices tend to skyrocket in areas where artists buy and rent first. Some of the most consistent appreciation for home prices in Austin has occurred in the central Austin area.
