networking: Using Social Media To Enhance Face-to-Face Meetings (I Promise It Works!) - 09/24/10 11:52 AM

For the past couple of years, I’ve been helping others to market effectively online, having done this for my own businesses since 1996. One of the interesting trends I’ve noted is the fact that some people (and companies) spend a lot of time and effort working on their online presence, at the expense of “real world” interaction.

Social media (or “new media”, if you prefer) tools and platforms aren’t intended to supplant face-to-face interaction and networking, but to ENHANCE them.

networking: Best networking ideas? - 08/07/07 07:30 PM

I was curious to hear what has worked best for you when networking (outside of the internet). I am trying to train my agents (we have about 20) not to depend too heavily on internet leads, and I would love to hear some ideas from you guys with regard to what has been successful. I have a good number of ideas and books on the subject, but I am curious.
