pflugerville homes: Considering Buying a Home in Pflugerville? This is the time to buy, and I have data! - 11/15/08 09:29 PM
I have lived in Pflugerville since 1995, when my wife and I bought our first home here. In 2002, we opted to buy our second (much larger) home in this area, too. What made us choose to stay? Affordability - we have a home that would likely cost at least twice as much in central Austin Convenience - with the advent of the toll roads in 2006, we can get just about anywhere in 15 minutes, including the Prime Outlets/IKEA area, Georgetown, Mopac/Spicewood, etc. It's quiet It's safe I would talk about the schools, but we haven't had first-hand experience with

pflugerville homes: Lake Pflugerville is Getting a New Park and Pavillion - 09/07/08 10:41 PM
By the summer of 2009, Lake Pflugerville is set to receive a number of improvements, to the tune of $800,000. Included in the project will be a park on the north shore, gravel beach, pavilion, two covered and lighted picnic tables, a boat ramp, boat rentals and additional parking. Yes, that is an actual picture of the lake to the right. Thankfully for those of us who pay taxes in this area, this money will not be coming from the city itself. Instead, the funds will come from a number of sources, including the LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority), the Pflugerville

pflugerville homes: Why I Love Living in Pflugerville, Texas Despite Its Silly Name - 05/17/08 10:50 PM
My wife and I purchased our first home in Pflugerville in March of 1995. At the time, we had been married a little over two years, and I was 24 years old. We had no children then. One reason that we chose Pflugerville was its affordability. I was working as a restaurant manager for Souper Salad, and frankly the income wasn't that great. My wife's income was better than mine at the time - she worked for National Instruments as a technical writer. Our Realtor showed us a few places that seemed okay, but not thrilling, then we

pflugerville homes: Austin Real Estate - What Can I Buy in the Austin area for $300,000 or less? - 09/26/07 12:47 AM
Last week, I wrote this post about the affordability of Austin real estate: Austin Real Estate - What can I buy for $200,000 in the Austin area? This week, I am "upping the ante", and I will focus on what you can purchase for $300k right now in this market. Some of these are a bit less: This home is located in fast-growing Cedar Park (recently named #11 in the country for fastest-growing suburbs). It features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and 2736 s.f. per the local tax records. It was built by Capital Pacific Homes, and it is only $283,900. This beautiful house is in

pflugerville homes: Pflugerville Real Estate - Falcon Pointe Subdivision - 09/22/07 11:42 PM
As a 12-year resident of Pflugerville (and with 19 years in the general Austin area), I have watched this town grow from about 9,000 residents to over 30,000 presently. The Falcon Pointe subdivision is located near the intersection of two major new arteries (SH-130 and 45), which are both toll roads. I live in the adjacent community (Blackhawk), and I have been impressed with this new development, which features new and resale homes priced from the $170's up to the mid-$300's. Falcon Pointe's amenities include: Water park with splash pool and toddler/infant pool, along with lap pool for adults Beautiful community center

pflugerville homes: Pflugerville Real Estate - New Listing - Just $149,000 for over 1939 s.f. - 09/12/07 05:57 PM
I just listed a home in Pflugerville that was referred to me by my inspector friend (who is going to join AR soon). It was built in 1998, and it has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. All of the bedrooms are upstairs, and the master bedroom is HUGE. The upstairs carpet was replaced a couple of days ago, and the downstairs carpet was replaced last year. It has 1939 s.f. per the local tax records, and the lot backs to an easement area, so there is more space between this house and the neighbors behind it. At $149,000, I would expect

pflugerville homes: Pflugerville Home for Sale - Just $144,900 - 1535 s.f., built in 2002 - Very convenient - 09/01/07 05:14 PM
We recently listed another home in the Pflugerville area, this time in Sarah's Creek, which sits at the edge of the Austin-Pflugerville city limits. This property is about 15-20 minutes from central and downtown Austin. It would be great for investors or as an owner-occupied home. It backs up to an easement/greenbelt area, and it has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1535 s.f. per the tax records, built in 2002, for only $144,900! It has a spacious kitchen and breakfast area, large linen and walk-in closets in the master bedroom, garden tub, covered front porch, and more! If you would like more

pflugerville homes: Pflugerville Real Estate - 08/22/07 12:27 AM
Having lived in Pflugerville for over 12 years now, I have seen huge changes in this Austin suburb. We bought our first home here in 1995, and our second home in 2002. We stay here because it is quiet, safe, and inexpensive. With the advent last fall of two new toll roads which travel through Pflugerville (45 and SH-130), access to Austin has never been easier. There are several nice (and affordable) subdivisions to choose from, including Blackhawk, Falcon Pointe, and Villages at Hidden Lake. Prices range in these areas from the $160's to the $360's. There is terrific access to shopping,
