social media marketing: "I Hate Social Media" - 11/06/10 10:17 AM

I heard the quote in the title above recently from a friend of mine over dinner, and it surprised me.
As someone who loves this stuff, I was intrigued by this statement, and I asked my friend, “Why is that?”
His answer was simple. He said that he didn’t care about keeping up with people from high school on Facebook, or about what’s going on in their lives. He mentioned that it seemed false to him.
This response made it abundantly clear that he didn’t understand what social media really encompasses. Sadly, this is a not uncommon reaction to this still-somewhat-fledgling … (70 comments)

social media marketing: I am writing TWO offers today! (Pssst! One of them even came from Localism) - 03/25/09 03:27 PM

Thankfully, this month has been a whirlwind activity with my buyer clients, and I also managed to get my last listing sold in the meantime (guess I need to get some more!).
Today, for the first time in (mumble mumble) months/years, I will be writing two offers, and I just had a closing two days ago as well. Things have picked up mightily in March for us, and I am hopeful that it will carry into the summer and fall months ahead.
