stone hill town center: Stone Hill Town Center - Pflugerville, Texas - Cinemark and 24 Hour Fitness are Coming! - 01/11/10 06:15 PM
I have traced the progress of Stone Hill Town Center since before it opened in 2008.  I live in nearby Blackhawk (just across 130) and I was very excited to see that Cinemark has decided to move forward with placing a new theater in the center, no later than the first quarter of 2011.  24-Hour Fitness will also be opening next to the Home Depot by the end of 2010.
This is terrific news, and perhaps it serves as a bellwether for the local economy, since both companies had been part of the original plan, then held off.  The fact that they … (10 comments)

stone hill town center: Stone Hill Town Center - VIDEO UPDATE - 05/14/09 10:56 PM
Earlier today, I met with my friend Debbie Ates at Wilshire Homes (Commons at Rowe Lane) and she requested that I update my previous video about Stone Hill Town Center.
This new shopping center is located less than two miles from my home in the Blackhawk area.  There are plenty of other neighborhoods in the area, including Falcon Pointe, Highland Park North, Commons at Rowe Lane, Villages at Hidden Lake, Avalon, and more.
This video turned out a bit longer than I was planning at almost 4 minutes, but I hope you find it to be helpful.  Thanks!

I have written a handful of updates about Stone Hill Town Center over the past several months, and these posts seem to bring a lot of interest from the local community.
At the risk of losing those folks who might otherwise contact me, this post includes a short video as well.  :) Currently, the stores that are open are:
Home Depot Super Target Best Buy Verizon Wireless Mattress Firm Bealls Department Store will also be opening very soon.
I happened to stop by the Super Target a couple of nights ago, which turned out to be the day that they had their … (5 comments)

stone hill town center: Stone Hill Town Center - Pflugerville Shopping Center is Shaping Up Nicely! - 02/08/09 11:53 PM
Since it's located about 1.5 miles from my house, I have been watching Stone Hill Town Center take shape for some time now.  My wife and I relish the thought of having even closer shopping options, especially since we are now expecting our fourth child and traveling time seems even more at a premium.
Currently, the only stores open are the Home Depot, Mattress Firm, and Verizon Wireless.  Very soon, that will change, as Best Buy is slated for its grand opening on February 27th, with Bealls Department Store and the SuperTarget store both opening in March.
There are a handful … (16 comments)

stone hill town center: Pflugerville, Texas Shopping - Stone Hill Town Center - Quick Update - 01/10/09 08:27 PM
I have been tracking the progress of the new Stone Hill Town Center over the past few months.  Since it sits about a mile and a half from our home, I am very much looking forward to the opening.  Home Depot has been open since last May, standing as the lone store until Verizon Wireless and Mattress Firm opened last month.
I read that Best Buy's grand opening will be February 27th, and SuperTarget will open nine days later, on March 8th.  Bealls is also expected to open sometime in March.
Other springtime openings at Stone Hill include:
GNC Quizno's … (14 comments)

stone hill town center: Even More Shopping for Pflugerville! - 11/01/08 09:42 PM

Along with the newest developments that have sprung up in Pflugerville over the past year or so, I am happy to see another one in the works, just across from the Wal-Mart on 685.  Here are some posts that I wrote about Stone Hill Town Center and Pfluger Crossing:
Pflugerville, Texas is Getting Two New Shopping Centers!
According to the plat map provided by SCC Developments on their website, the new center (which I think is called Pflugerville Town Center) looks to have a strip center, along with a "big box" retail store (117,000 s.f.) and several other free-standing buildings.  … (4 comments)

stone hill town center: Stone Hill Town Center - Pflugerville, Texas Shopping - UPDATE! - 09/04/08 09:46 PM
I noticed a few days ago that they began vertical construction (i.e. walls) for what appears to be the new Super Target within Stone Hill Town Center in Pflugerville.  Since I live about 1.5 miles from this soon-to-be shopping center, my wife and I are anxiously awaiting its grand opening.
I found the rendering on the left on the website for the developer, New Quest Properties.
Currently, the only store completed and open is Home Depot, but it looks like that will probably change in the near future.  There is a free-standing retail building on the eastern edge of the (giant) parking … (24 comments)

stone hill town center: Pflugerville, Texas is Getting Two New Shopping Centers! - 07/07/08 06:09 PM
In the upcoming months between now and the spring of 2009, Pflugerville will be adding two large shopping centers.  At the southwest corner of 130 and 45, Stone Hill Town Center will be opening with over 1 million square feet of shopping and restaurants (Home Depot opened in May in this location).
This area promises a Best Buy, Chili's, several retail clothing stores, a large Cinemark theater, and a 24-Hour Fitness.  If you would like to see the proposed layout, you can visit the developer's website and see the site plan here:

stone hill town center: Pflugerville Texas is Coming into its Own - 01/05/08 11:32 PM

As a 13-year resident of Pflugerville, Texas (located immediately adjacent to north Austin), I have seen a lot of growth occur here over the years.  I remember doing a real estate marketing piece in 1997, which was my first year in the business.  That year, they had recently replaced the population sign for our town, which used to read 4,444.  I believe this was for the 1990 census figures.  As I recall, the population then was around 11,000, so I was happy to point to our growth as a sign of things to come.
In 2000, the population was around 16,500, and … (24 comments)
