What is sub-prime lending, credit crunch, and crisis of confidence?SUBPRIME LOANS/Lending - Is the practice of lending money to a more risky borrower or riskier type of loan (no income documentation, no money down etc). There is an OLD investment adage – Buy Low and Sell High! This investment principle flows over into the real Estate Market as well! The only time you make money in Real Estate is when you BUY… This is a very simple principle that is backed by some very true facts. Real Estate runs in cycles and when you Buy you want to catch it in a down cycle (like the one we are in) and Sell in a high cycle (like the one we came out of about 2 years ago). These times come and go… They run in cycles which some refer to as Peaks and Valleys… 2. Remember the majority of your Stocks and all of your Real Estate are long term investments. Their values maybe down at the present time but will more than likely regain its value and more. 3.
