Buying A Home In The Poconos - 02/26/10 11:46 AM
Time is running out on the up to $8000 tax credit program provided by the Federal Government. That however, should not be your only reason for buying a home here in the Poconos at this time. Rock bottom home prices, historically low interest rates and a wide selection of homes to choose from are 3 more reasons why you should be buying now instead of later. Your first steps should be getting pre-approved for a mortgage and working exclusively with a buyers' agent like myself. I can help you in the right direction from start (getting pre-approved by one of our (1 comments)
Make Sure You Deal With A True Professional When It Comes To "Your Pocono Home". - 02/18/10 08:18 PM
The unprofessional-ism of some agents is astounding. E-mailing that your clients are going to be terminating the Agreement of Sale after business hours after knowing for weeks that the property was to be sold in "as is" condition. Pathetic. I am going to make sure her buyers lose their deposit. I have notified my office manager and now I have to scramble to get back other prospective buyers because of this as well as extend the listing because it expired just before going to contract. For experienced, professional representation when buying or selling "Your Pocono Home", call me, Jason Feinman (0 comments)

The Realtor Reviews...Long Island Edition - Smokey Bones - 02/15/10 10:55 PM
Went to Smokey Bones in Islandia this past Saturday night with great expectations. However, those expectations quickly turned to disappointment. A wait at a crowded restaurant I can understand, but when you say you are a table for 5, you do not get seated at a booth that seats 4. That is one. The food, only average at best and it took them 2 times to get my father's steak cooked right. My ribs were okay but their pulled pork was very peppery. Yuck. Service was slow and although I haven't been to the Famous Dave's in Smithtown yet, I have (2 comments)
How To Defend Your Good Name Against Libel/Slander - 02/13/10 10:49 PM
Someone recently tried to tarnish my stellar reputation over a simple typographical error that was on a review web site. I sold 3096 Carnforth Drive in Bushkill (see below) and it was incorrectly posted as 3094 Carnforth Drive. After she posted a slanderous review of me. I was able to contact the web site owner and have the review stricken with the address correction made. I had proof of the address of my sold listing as well as the solid backing of my past client. If your name gets tarnished unjustly, take immediate action. Contact web site owners, get your facts (6 comments)
So You Want To Buy Land In The Poconos? What You Need To Know - 02/11/10 09:00 PM
If you are looking to buy land in the Poconos, you may or may not know where to start. There are many different scenarios for purchasing land, whether for a primary home, vacation home or investment property. Location means a lot of things in the Poconos, because many people do not realize that the Poconos spans 4 counties. Some questions you need to consider are: Do you want to be in a development or outside of one? Will I have a septic system or sewer? Public water or well water? , and so much more. As your Pocono regional real estate (0 comments)
The Realtor Reviews...Pocono Event Coverage Edition - Boxing Greats Host Championship Game Party At Mt. Airy Casino - 02/08/10 11:32 AM
Heavyweights of the squared circle, not the gridiron, played host to a great crowd gathered for pro footballs' championship game yesterday at Gypsies nightclub located in Mt. Airy Casino. Larry Holmes, Gerry Cooney, Bobby Czyz and Chuck Wepner, met with fans, signed autographs, took pictures and told stories as patrons got ready for the big game. Many took advantage of the discounted buffet, specially priced at $7.77. That was a jackpot for sure. I, however, took great pleasure in meeting these boxing greats. Larry Holmes, still sharp with the verbal jab, held a heavyweight title (either undisputed or organizational belt) for a still record (0 comments)
Better use CYA when it comes to Short Sales or Foreclosures - 02/07/10 01:02 PM
Funny how all this talk about short sales and foreclosures being so prominent and wonderful (sarcastic) left one small detail out of the equation. The fundamental principle of CYA (Cover Your Ass). What was rule number one in real estate school (or what should have been if you went to a decent school), seems to have evaporated when it comes to these transactions. Why should we put ourselves as Realtors at risk to the perils of incompetent banks, dishonest sellers, other bad agents and other factors beyond our control without a safeguard in place absolving us of such wrongdoing. The Realtor Reviews...Country Kettle - 02/07/10 12:09 AM
If you are looking for those candies of your youth, homemade fudge, freshly made dressings, scented candles and a whole lot more, then you need to visit Country Kettle located on Rt. 209 in East Stroudsburg south of the Marshalls Creek intersection. Country Kettle is HUGE! It does not look that way from the outside which looks just like a home, which it was at one time (I don't know the full history behind the actual structure), but that is irrelevant. What is relevant, is that Country Kettle is a lot of FUN! Swarovski Crystals, Lenox figurines, the list goes on (0 comments)
What A Liar! - Showing Feedback - Please Give Courtesy - 02/03/10 09:50 AM
So I called a broker who also actively sells homes and asked for showing feedback on my listing. He went into a tirade saying it was illegal and then he dropped a name of another broker, who happens to teach the CE course and told me that she said it was illegal. If it was illegal, then why does every brokerage have a showing desk/feedback system to allow for that? So, I couldn't wait to use the name he dropped and I called the said agent immediately. While I didn't get her, I got another person who just happened to (5 comments)
