commercial market: East Snohomish County Commercial Market Update (June 1, 2009) - 06/06/09 02:52 PM
The following is a "reprint" from my Commercial Real Estate Newsletter. If you'd like to receive a print or email copy, let me know. In this month's issue we'll review the market in eastern Snohomish County. This report covers Snohomish, Monroe, Sultan, Gold Bar, Index and spots in-between. Like the residential market, the commercial market has been hit hard by financing problems and the overall down-trend in the economy. Fewer new businesses are opening, existing businesses are cutting back or at best, not expanding. Most experts are expecting things to get worse in the commercial market over the next year as

commercial market: Duvall and Carnation – Residential and Commercial Update for 4/19/09 - 04/19/09 05:13 PM
The last couple of weeks have been relatively quiet in Duvall and Carnation, so I decided to combine reports. For both Carnation and Duvall, the Commercial market has been very quiet, at least according to the MLS systems. My understanding, though is that local property owners do have some good prospects for leasing out spaces. But, so far nothing new is taken up.... meaning there is LOTS of space available in town. As for residential: In Duvall, there are have only been a couple of new listings (once you subtract the ones that expired and got relisted the next day).

commercial market: Carnation, Washington Commercial Market Overview (4/5/09) - 04/05/09 05:35 PM
The commercial market in Carnation is not huge. But, it is growing, thanks to the city installing a sewer system. This makes development possible in the down-town area and should also lead to growth in the residential market over time that will support businesses. For now though, with overall slowdown in the real estate market and the major slowdown in business development and investment, don't expect it to take off fast in the near future. For now, what's on the market officially is pretty limited. There is one small commercial space on the downtown strip and several developable properties available. The

commercial market: Duvall Commercial and Residential Update for March 29, 2009 -- Pet Peeve #2 - Incomplete MLS Listings - 03/29/09 04:14 PM
First, lets talk commercial.. it will be quick. The only thing to note is that one property updated because the listing agent changed offices and the listing went with her. That's it for commercial. Still lots of space empty. On the residential side... Not a lot whole lot of things going on via the MLS in Duvall this past week. Only 3 new listings, which I think is good. One of those is a realist of something that expired in December... so I think the agent/owner took the strategy of letting it stay off the market for 90 days, which resets

commercial market: Commercial and Residential Update for Duvall WA (3/21/2009) - 03/21/09 06:07 PM
Time for my weekly update! So, what has been going on this week in Duvall? Well, on the commercial side the main news is that one of the commercial spaces (a large one) in Copper Hill Square is now for sale. There were some smaller spaces for sale and I contacted the owner (a real estate agent) about helping relist them, but no response. Go figure... try and help people out, but Nope! I'm still trying to get owners to let me help them lease out their commercial spaces, but its a tough sale. If you do know someone interested in

commercial market: Duvall Commercial and Residential Update for March 14, 2009 (AKA Pet Peeve #4: Agents who try to manipulate the MLS) - 03/14/09 07:30 PM
So, how are things gong with the Residential and Commercial markets in Duvall. Pretty much the same as last month.... Nothing has closed in the last two weeks. First, on the commercial side... several listings have expired. Oddly, they were listed by their owners. I contacted one in case he wants to work together on it. I think I can help him since he's not part of CBA (www.commercialmls.com) or other commercial property listings. The big item is Riverview Plaza, its now for sale. I heard through the grapevine that the owner has other projects he wants to concentrate on.
