An American General And A German General ~ Pull Off A Secret Collaboration In World War II - 11/30/09 06:49 AM

May 7, 1945 started early for General George S Patton with a 4am call from General Omar Bradley.  The Germans had just surrendered. Miles away Col. Alois Podhajsky an Austrian, was looking for a way to guarantee the safety of the riding school and the horses he supervised as the Third Reich collapsed around him.
Several day earlier Lt. Gen. Walton H. Walker’s XX Corps had captured the renowned Spanish Riding School of Vienna.  It included hundreds of the finest horse bloodlines in all of Europe.  Among this herd were 250 of the prized War Horses, the famous … (10 comments)

Lipizzaner ~ The War Horse Of Ancient Armies ~ - 11/30/09 06:41 AM

The Lipizzan is the aristocrat, the royalty the light and the nimble dancer and the aerialist of the equestrian world.

His distant ancestors from the Orient bore Ghengis Khan out of the wastes of Asia to conquer much of the then-known world. The fleet Arabic strain in the Lipizzaners patrolled, guarded and raided treasure-laden caravans in the golden sands of the Sahara. Their masters were Bedouins, Tuaregs and riders from a dozen long-forgotten tribes.
It is believed that the forerunner of the Lipizzan was bred in Carthage, more than 2,000 years ago. The … (12 comments)

What Will I Be When I Grow Up? (Humor) - 11/29/09 04:45 PM

Thought I'd share this bit of humor to start off the week.  Enjoy a little chuckle.

Via Laura Giannotta Keller Williams Atlantic (Keller Williams Atlantic Shore ):
Many parents wonder what profession their child will choose.  Well, there's an old country preacher who has it all figured out.He had a teenage son, and the preacher thought it was time for his son give the idea some consideration.  Like many teenagers, the young man didn’t really have a clue about his future, nor did he seem too concerned.  So one day while the boy was away at school, the preacher decided to try an … (12 comments)

Reclaim Your Life, One Hobby at a Time! - 11/29/09 03:40 PM

Every now and then we need to sit back and take stock of where we are.  Some times a little reminder shows us we are missing some of the great moments in life.

The Lender Wants My Cell Phone Bill? WHAT??? - 11/24/09 01:57 PM

Today's lenders are tightening up requirements for buyers.  We have seen some fairly unusual requests just prior to closing. This is a nationwide trend and one buyers should be aware of. Remember if you are planning on buying a home in the near future - do not make any large purchases like a car. Keep all of your payments current including cell phone and other utility bills.

Is Nancy uncomfortable? - 11/24/09 01:50 PM

Why can't Nancy Pelosi answer the question?  Will Osama be given rights when he is captured?  Do you think that is a reasonable question?  I certainly do. Evidently Nancy Pelosi thinks the question is not worthy of an answer.

Via Bob Cumiskey, US Army Retired, Your Sun City Center, Florida ~ Realtor (A1 Connection Realty, Inc.):
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems a little uncomfortable with the question about legal rights for Osama bin Laden. As can be seen in this video the Speaker basically blew the reporters question off as if she were asking what her next best seller would be.

120,000 Americans Protest 9/11 Trials - 11/24/09 12:20 PM
Not all Americans are pleased that the 9/11 conspirators will be brought to US soil and tried here. At noon today in New York a coalition of 9/11 Never Forget family members held a news conference revealing their attempt to have the Obama administration reconsider their action. Not surprisingly the Obama administration reacted to 300 letters from 9/11 families with a cold shoulder.  No Response! Within a hour of Attorney General Holders announcement that the terrorists would be brought to the U.S. the signatures on their online letter jumped to 45,000.  By the end of the day over 120,000 people from … (16 comments)

What Do Short Sales and The Health Care Bill Have In Common? Case In Point. - 11/24/09 06:44 AM

This blog is an interesting read for everyone who thinks Health Care will help all Americans.  What does a short sale have to do with health care? The same banks who are making it difficult for homeowners to sell their under water homes, are the same banks who hold financial interest in the insurance companies who will benefit from Health Care Reform.  Follow the money! If you think Health Care reform is about helping the disadvantaged - you are mistaken.  Please read the following blog and do your own research.

For Sale: Sen. Mary Landrieu ~ $300 Million And She's Yours! - 11/23/09 06:09 PM

Sen. Mary Landrieu (D) Louisiana made no pretense that she held out for a pay off in exchange for her vote on Health Care Saturday.  The price tag was $300 million in Medicaid funds for her state. To secure her yes vote Harry Reid added a provision in the bill allocating the $300 million. Maybe I don't understand math, but doesn't that add to the total of the package?   Did the CBO factor in all these sweetheart deals when they figured out the cost of health care? She is proud that she asked for the money and got it.  Mary … (19 comments)

80% of the American Public believes the murder of JFK was a conspiracy.  Who was responsible?  Who is alive today who can unlock the secret?  Why does our government continue to protect the guilty?
We do have a right to know.  We have a right to demand those responsible are brought to justice - if not physically - then by placing the responsibility squarely on their shoulders and let history report their deeds.

Are You Ready America ~ To Take Your Country Back? - 11/23/09 10:01 AM
Many of us are worried, upset and fearful about the future of our great nation.  We seem the storm clouds forming and try to speak out.  Our lawmakers are ignoring us.  We are ridiculed when we assemble to protest.  We are called names and accused of being UnAmerican. Our President tells us to get out of the way and let him fix everything.  We see ourselves going down a path of destruction.  Fixing everything equates to burning our Constitution.  Might as well!   It will become an irrelevant and meaningless document. Bishop Tells Patrick Kennedy ~ Not To Take Communion - 11/23/09 07:43 AM

The feud between Patrick Kennedy and the Catholic Church has escalated to the point that Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin has publicly notified Kennedy not to receive Communion because of his stand on abortion.Their dispute began in October when Kennedy criticized the nation's Catholic bishops for threatening to oppose an overhaul of the nation's health care system unless lawmakers included tighter restrictions on abortion, which have since been added to the House version of the bill. Tobin said he felt Kennedy made an unprovoked attack on the church and demanded an apology.

The assassination of the most powerful man in the world, a sitting  American President, John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Some would say that 9/11 is a more tragic event.  Not to minimize or marginalize the event or the thousands of lives lost, the comparison is different.
No matter how devastating 9/11 was, we are able to reconstruct the facts of that day, know who the enemy was, and are preparing to bring some of those co-conspirators to justice.

A group of wealthy, powerful and politically connected men joined in a common interest or goal for the direction they wished to take this government.  They plot and plan every move to benefit their collective interests. The Shadow government controls through the  Presidency the future of this country.

During mating season bucks will defend their territory against rival bucks.  In the back yard the anxious buck spies a 640 lb concrete elk.  Off he goes to charge and butt it multiple times. Alas, the Elk won.  Not before the buck did some serious damage to the statue. In the picture you can see the buck laying in the yard and the destroyed statue in the foreground. (source)
