mortgage: It is not our fault... - 09/18/08 07:02 AM
I wanted to make something clear to the public at large, as well as give all of my friends who will take the time to read this blog some ammunition to combat the comment that we hear in the public.  You see, I wear my nametag everywhere I go, so I was bound to hear the bone headed comment that I heard yesterday.  While I was waiting for my boys to come out of school, one of the other parents commented that it is all my fault that the economy is in a shambles due to the credit crisis in the housing market.  … (1 comments)

mortgage: Dream Big...Think Big... - 08/28/08 05:50 AM
I wanted to make a few comments about the book that I am still in the process of studying.  It is, of course, the MREA.
There are of course a few things that are unrelated to my business, like leads I need, but listings I don't do, and leverage is something that will naturally come when I close more loans.  However, I don't want to make this blog sound like I would not recommend that anyone involved in our industry in any capacity.  Anyone that is involved in our industry in any capacity will be able to gleen some good stuff … (2 comments)

mortgage: How's the market? What have you done lately? - 07/28/08 06:56 AM
OK, Here we go again.  We should all know the reason for the slowdown in the market by now, the sub prime mortgage market crisis.  Let's work together to see if we can work together to do something to correct the market, before we end up like the markets back east.  We need to get some positive information out there to give the people that are facing foreclosure a little hope.
Here is the name of the website where they can get some more info is www.HopeNow.com.   They are an industry-led group of the largest lenders, servicers, credit counselors and investors that came together … (3 comments)

mortgage: Market concerns... - 07/22/08 05:47 AM
On the news we will see that the media does a great job in detailing the demise of our economy.  In the meantime we have to keep our heads up and project the face of peace to the world.  Those of us who have a faith to strengthen us are able to tell everyone that everything will be alright.  The truth is, what we had before the market slowed down is the same thing we have now that it has slowed down.  We have a God who cares about us and will only let us suffer in as much as we … (0 comments)

mortgage: Waiting on the minutes... - 07/16/08 04:36 AM
The minutes from the FOMC meeting are released at 11:00am.  Look for this to be some very interesting news and I expect the bond market to react quite a bit to this news.  I could be wrong, so please don't take this as a positive or a negative and only lock your rate if your situation calls for it.
Waiting to listen to the FOMC meeting minutes...
Check here after 11:00am Pacific Time to see a link to the pdf file of the minutes:

mortgage: FHA changes - 07/14/08 10:22 AM
There are many changes being made right now to the way mortgage insurance is going to be charged on FHA purchases and refinances and it is going to be based on credit score and LTV.  The best thing to do if your loan was not locked is contact your mortgage consultant and find out how the changes are going to impact the way your loan looks and make sure they have discussed this with their customers.  Please feel free to check out my website or comment on my blog with any specific questions that you may have.
