A Re-blogger's Confession - 07/16/11 10:32 PM
I just couldn't help the irony here. :) I share Steve's thoughts on this, and appreciate when my thoughts get "reblogged" and I know my personal reasons are just to share GREAT writing with more people. Via Steve Matsumoto ~ first time home buyers Oceanside, CA (RE/MAX By-the-Sea: waterfront condos, second homes): I recently re-blogged someone else's post for the first time. I feel dirty. I can't escape the feeling that I'm taking credit for someone else's work or that I've haven't give the writer her full due. Silly, right? It was a featured

One Acre just outside Kansas City! (and a TRACTOR!) - 07/11/11 10:23 PM
Cute homes are hard to come by, especially being so close to a metropolitan area like Kansas City. PLUS, sitting on ONE ACRE? This one has it all, and the price makes it hard to pass up. Tucked at the end of a horse-shoe cul-de-sac, this country-living home offers privacy, space, and is only minutes fromZona Rosa, shops, food and the city! Boasting 3-bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a second "canning kitchen" and even a lawn tractor to the new owners, with an acceptable offer, this ranch home is great for the family wanting to be able to stretch out, relax and enjoy living! I Push People Off Ledges (but in a good way, of course) - 07/06/11 09:14 AM
What ever happened to TALKING people off a ledge? Well, talking takes lots of hot air and sand through the hourglass so why not just JUMP?? I had an interesting interaction yesterday with a new potential client that I have been trying to get a hold of since JANUARY (6-months ago). We finally spoke at length last month and I asked about his house hunt. Here is the information I received yesterday: "Well, Jay... the one thing that I have been nervous about is my preapproval letter telling the seller that I'm approved for MORE than I am offering for the

A Social Media Fundraiser: Success Story! - 07/01/11 04:04 PM
Thanks to all of you who supported me in my Make-a-Wish foundation fundraiser! We raised $136 in a little over 48 hours for the Kansas City chapter! All as an experiment through the power of ActiveRain and Facebook. HOW? I asked for my friends and ActiveRain Rainmakers to LIKE my Fan page (see the box to the right >>>> ) and for each LIKE I would donate $1 to the Make-a-Wish foundation. I didn't really know what to expect and it was great to see friends and fellow Realtors re-posting the status on their walls to help out. The
