Did you know that you can save some key strokes and use a Gmail "canned response" when prospecting? Okay, okay, I know that personal relationships are what we are all doing here, but what about the leads that RE/MAX sends me from the website? I basically say the same things to them and found a way to save some of the typing. (Once they reply and we can chat in person, away goes the canned stuff!) First, let me say that Google Labs is great. If you're a Gmail user and have never looked around there, do it. That's where you'll (2 comments)
Is "Highest and Best" a Scam? - 08/22/12 07:45 AM
"Mr/Mrs Buyer, there are multiple offers on this property and the Seller has asked for our highest and best offer." More often than not, my Buyers in this situation automatically think that the Seller is trying to pull something over on them. "Jay, do they REALLY have other offers or are they just trying to jack our price up?"

This has been a VERY busy year in the world of real estate! I wanted to give you an update on our neighborhood activity so you can see what’s been happening. SO, HOW’S THE MARKET? The year started off slow, but home sales have DRAMATICALLY picked up over the spring and summer months. This has been driven by record low interest rates (still hanging around 4%) and renters handing in their keys to become OWNERS! As for our “local neighborhood market,” as you can see (0 comments)
Why Your Password Sucks - 08/06/12 06:54 AM
Is that too strong of a statement? (Ask those people who have had their Linkedin and Facebook accounts hacked recently). And the bad part is that it can be prevented SO EASILY! With client data and our business information so readily available on the web, we need to make sure it is protected. CLIFF NOTES VERSIONHere is the short and sweet version (because I know how busy you are!).
