This post is inspired by one that Brenda just wrote (check it out here) and I wanted to chime in. The essence is how agents cooperate with out-of-town agents who bring their buyers into that territory. Brenda was faced with some disappointing results but I wanted to share a cool story of how it "should" be. I sold a home in Kansas City and my sellers were being transferred 3 hours away to a satellite campus for his work. (These are 5-star clients and amazing people by the way!) After a non-impressive winter here in the heartland of Kansas City, spring is hitting us FULL FORCE right now! Here are a few thoughts to put some SPRING in the step: 1) Revisit those listings who had the winter bluesOK, people are out rubbing their eyes and looking at houses again. Let's make sure our listings are in the front of their mind! Open houses will have great traffic as our buyers are out looking for something to do (like see that GREAT house we have!) 2) Get people in the doorEver thought of a nice spring luncheon at your listing? Video is the hot new medium to get the message out. If you don't have a YouTube channel yet, then what are ya waiting for?!?! There are two ways to approach a listing video: HOLLYWOOD and B-MOVIE. The first is great for those higher priced listings because people expect to be dazzled. But what about those low to mid range homes? B-MOVIE is the way to go, because it fits with the vibe and expectations of the YouTube generation. Have you seen any viral videos lately? How have they been shot? HOME MADE.
