A non-profit organization I volunteer for is looking for a commercial building to lease.  We're looking at spaces actively listed on the market for them but I also thought I would try posting here.
The space will be used as a training facility for people & animals as well as small office space & storage.  A comparable business would be a dog day care. No animals on premises over night.
Location - 20 Minutes North or East of Hartford, can be off the beaten path in an industrial park or commercial area.  No retail.
SF - 2,000-4,000
Need parking for 20+ cars

With all the bad news about the real estate market, foreclosures and credit problems, it's easy to think bad thoughts and wear those thoughts on your face.  This is a problem if you show that to clients.
Even if the general public is aware of the market conditions, people still expect real estate agents to be upbeat about buying or selling.  If you meet with a prospective buyer and allow the doom and gloom to enter your dealings with them, they are going to connect your attitude to their attitude - and they either won't want to buy/sell with YOU or won't want to buy/sell … (3 comments)

Low Quality Low-Ball Offers - 11/20/07 10:43 AM
I recently put my personal residence up for sale.  This experience has given me a little perspective on how other real estate agents work and in particular, the "low-ball offer." As both the owner and agent, and an agent for other buyers who have submitted low offers, I can now say what has worked for me and what definitely did not work for an agent who recently presented me with a low-ball offer.
