Were you aware when you first bought them?  I sure wasn't - I just thought I was doing my part for energy conservation! And that is all good, but I'm now learning that they contain mercury and need to be carefully handled and recycled after use. Good to know!  Thank goodness I haven't tossed one out, or worse yet, dropped one on the kitchen floor and broke it into tiny pieces. Compact fluorescent light bulbs are all the rage. Cherry Creek Schools Have Plans in the Works! - 05/15/08 06:26 PM
The Cherry Creek School District's Long Range Facility Planning Committee - has reported on the district's long-term needs.  This was shared in their "Dedicated to Excellence", 2008 Spring Newsletter which is mailed to shareholders. The plans are due to the expected growth, indicated by the City of Aurora and Arapahoe County.  Enrollment in the Cherry Creek School District is expected to reach nearly 54,000 by 2012.
The committee completed a Five-Year Needs Assessment, covering 2008-2012.  This included analysis of current needs and future projections.  Below is their recommendation as taken from the "Cherry Creek School District Shareholders 2008 Spring Update".

In the Spring of 2009, The Streets at SouthGlenn will open nearly 1 million square feet of retail space to create a distinctive shopping experience unlike any other in metro Denver.  Both Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble stores will build their Denver flagship locations at SouthGlenn.
