When I find myself with a little time on my hands, I look forward to cleaning out some of my old files. Carbon Monoxide deaths can be preventable and every homeowner can take a simple precaution to protect themselves. Just as every homeowner should install multiple smoke alarms to detect and warn occupants of the earliest signs of smoke, so should you install carbon monoxide detectors.  They can be purchased at any hardware or home improvement store for as little as $30.

While at the gym this morning, I had the opportunity to speak with a friend whose graduated from college last weekend.  She shared with me the very thought provoking speech that was given at the commencement. After congratulating the graduates for their accomplishment, he went on to say that the life ahead of them was going to be filled with challenges and was going to be a very different life from what they are accustomed to.  There are a lot of things currently going on in the world, and if changes are going to made, it needs to start with them, our future … (7 comments)

Father's Day is a celebration not to be overlooked!  I woke up in the middle of the night hearing rain drops dancing on my roof and "Father's Day" etched in my mind. I don't know why, but I call it "monkey mind". But, before I could release it and fall back to sleep, I had to give it some thought.
I thought how fortunate I was to have a great Dad. I know not everyone is that lucky. Did I wish for other things as a child growing up, sure, all kids do.  But, did I ever wish for a different Dad, never!  … (2 comments)
