Based on how I write my posts, this will probably end up being a 4 or 5 separate blogs. As I mention in my previous series, I could try to sum it up in one log post, but no one would read them. So, if I break it up into sections, the chances of someone reading the post and enjoying the post is greater. If you have missed the first part, follow this link - Success with Open Houses Part 1. Would you like to reap the benefits from an open house? First you will have to determine what benefits are (10 comments)
dfw: Frisco Assistant Code Team or FACT (Texas) - 07/22/08 09:06 PM
There's a new sheriff in the town of Frisco, Texas. Actually, it's a new program that is designed to preserve property values, discourage crime, promote thriving neighborhoods, and increase community pride. The program is called FACT or Frisco Assistant Code Team. The program was announced on 7/21 during a Town Call Meeting and will be carried out by citizen volunteers. In order to be a volunteer, you are required to attend a four (4) hour training class, where you will learn how to spot city violations. Some of the more common violations are tall grass and weeds, trash and debris, broken (0 comments)

To share your thoughts and get feedback on scenarios, suggestions, marketing tips, etc. If (9 comments)
dfw: Don't Forget the Magic Word... - 07/21/08 08:46 PM
Over the past few weeks I have blogged about Phone Conversations and Sales. Not just phone sales, but sales in general. Some material could have even applied to many other careers today. For more information about my previous blogs, go to MY BLOGS. I can think of no better way to end a series on sales than by asking to go back to our childhood. I believe one area our society has forgotten is the feature of common courtesy. We say we understand that we are there to serve our customers -- but do we show that appreciation outwardly? After a (5 comments)
dfw: Did you ever want a "do-over"? - 07/21/08 08:07 PM
Did you ever hang up the phone and say to yourself -- "I wish I had said ______" or "I should not have said _______". It is not unusual to want to start over when things do not go the way you would have liked. Unfortunately, you don't get do-overs after phone calls or meetings in person. You have to live with what you said the first time. The only way to make it better is to make sure the first time goes better. You do that by adjusting and practicing, practicing, and more practicing. The key to great telephone sales or (10 comments)
dfw: Why Satisfied Clients Bolt... - 07/10/08 08:12 PM
"The sale merely consummates the courtship. Then the marriage begins. How good the marriage is depends on how well the relationship is managed by the seller." That was written by Theodore Levitt - Former Editor of Harvard Business Review The key is not how satisfied are the clients, its how many satisfied clients you keep. And in today's competitive marketplace, providing great service isn't enough to produce a lifetime of referrals. if you are not getting all the referrals you deserve, keep reading and discover why satisfied clients bolt, costing you an ongoing stream of business. Why Great Service Isn't Enough (15 comments)
dfw: Grand Park in Frisco, TX - 07/07/08 10:08 PM
Have you heard the news??? Frisco Parks and Recreation has released the lay-out to GRAND PARK, which will be located between Cotton Gin and Stonebrook, East of the DNT. The park has been described as being similar to Central Park in New York. According to the Director of Parks and Recreation, Rick Wieland, 'the city will grow into this park over the next number of years and things will adjust accordingly.' A lot of the plans right now, at least on the West and North of the park, are conceptual at this point. Documents have been submitted to the USAC of (2 comments)
dfw: What's on your mind? - 07/07/08 10:54 AM
When I started my blog, I was just going to say a few things about marketing, specifically on the phone. Now this has turned into a series (this is part 4) and I'm planning on a few more on this subject. Sure, I could write a long blog and recap my thoughts, but it's more fun for me this way and hopefully bloggers will look forward to the next installment. :-) The last blog I wrote how listening was a requisite for successful telephone sales. This statement presupposes that the other person on the line is interested in talking. Getting the (2 comments)
dfw: Control the Conversation... - 07/03/08 02:20 PM

To succeed in selling over the phone, it is important to control the conversation. The person in control is more likely to achieve their goals. Unfortunately, most people try to control the conversation by talking -- this is a big mistake. The preson who is controlling the conversation is typically listening. dfw: A Positive Attitude... - 07/01/08 07:14 PM
Good evening, As sales professionals, we all have to sell over the phone. Some of us are great over the phone. Others see the phone as the interruption in our day. Before we improve our phone skills, we must recognize two things: 1 - Selling over the phone is not easy. This statement is especially true when you are dealing with someone you do not know. You have a few seconds to garner their interest and begin the relationship process. If you were having lunch with them, the process becomes much easier 2 - Selling over the phone is important. dfw: A Different Approach... (PART 1) - 06/28/08 07:15 PM
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a Loan Officer in North Dallas who takes a different approach to serving real estate professionals. I joined active rain after I was referred by a local real estate agent. I know you have already heard this before -- "I am different". It is my goal within my blogs to prove this statement to be true. For one thing, I never approach a real estate agent about my mortgage programs, my rates, or my mortgage services. Not that I do not have a great array of programs, competitive rates, and deliver excellent service (4 comments)
