frisco: What were the home sales in Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, and Richardson? - 08/05/08 05:16 PM
Each month you may or may not receive a breakdown of the sales in your area.  Below, I have broken down the number of sales in these cities and compared them to July 2007.  As you will see, homes are definitely being sold in these neighborhoods.  Are you taking advantage of all your marketing opportunities?  If you are familiar with the 80/20 rule, do you find that you are in the 80 percentile or the 20 percentile?
Blogging is a great way to generate some business, but it is certainly not the only way.  In these times, it is important to go back … (4 comments)

frisco: Don't Forget the Magic Word... - 07/21/08 08:46 PM
Over the past few weeks I have blogged about Phone Conversations and Sales.  Not just phone sales, but sales in general.  Some material could have even applied to many other careers today.  For more information about my previous blogs, go to MY BLOGS.
I can think of no better way to end a series on sales than by asking to go back to our childhood.  I believe one area our society has forgotten is the feature of common courtesy.  We say we understand that we are there to serve our customers -- but do we show that appreciation outwardly?
After a … (5 comments)

frisco: Why Satisfied Clients Bolt... - 07/10/08 08:12 PM
"The sale merely consummates the courtship.  Then the marriage begins.  How good the marriage is depends on how well the relationship is managed by the seller."
That was written by Theodore Levitt - Former Editor of Harvard Business Review
The key is not how satisfied are the clients, its how many satisfied clients you keep.  And in today's competitive marketplace, providing great service isn't enough to produce a lifetime of referrals.  if you are not getting all the referrals you deserve, keep reading and discover why satisfied clients bolt, costing you an ongoing stream of business.

frisco: Ask for the right to ask... (part 5) - 07/08/08 05:57 PM
This is part 5 (so far) of my blog regarding Phone Sales.  If you have missed the previous blogs, please take a look at them here.
We have established that you must listen to be successful in selling over the phone.  In order to listen, you must get the caller to talk.  In order to get the caller to talk, you must ask questions.  But first, you must ask their permission to ask questions.  Remember, in our scenario, they called you to ask questions.
For example, the call may start like this:     I am calling about the listing you advertised on 22nd Street … (2 comments)
