After you fill out your Mortgage Loan Application, do you wonder what the lender is looking for specifically?
True, there are many items the underwriter is reviewing, but the most important question they ask themselves is - 'what is your ability to pay back the mortgage?'. The ideal file for an Underwriter to review, is one that is well organized and answers all the important questions up front. A mortgage consultant understands what the underwriter is reviewing. They will help you put all your ducks in a row (sort of speak) because they understand the mortgage products, guidelines, and investor requirements.

Over the past two weeks, I spoke to three new clients with similar situations... their Loan Officer was not returning their calls all of a sudden.
When I receive these calls, it is music to my ears. I'll be happy to pick up the where someone else dropped the ball. Not because these loans are easy - In most cases they are quite opposite. Actually, 75%-85% of the time the client has some real credit or financial issues that need to be addressed. They were just unfortunately to find someone that didn't want to take the time to explain it.

While I watched the Titans whoop on the Colts tonight, they had a quick segment on Kerry Collins.  Although Kerry has always been a quarterback, the segment was about all of the teams he had played on since 1995 (or so).  Within that time, he had played quarterback for several teams before coming to the titans, where he appears to be doing very well (6 & 0).
That got me thinking about the different jobs I have worked prior to becoming a Loan Officer.
