Does Zillow cause you problems? - 04/20/11 11:04 AM
Does Zillow cause you problems? I know it does for me. When my sellers recently agreed to drop the price on their home, it was not as low as I felt it needed to be to move the home. I am not a big believer in Zillow's pricing. However, i did show them in order to help get the price down a bit more. Of course, they were offended and would not go near that price. On the other side of the coin, I have buyers quoting Zillow values and wanting to make rediculously low offers. "Well, Zillow can't be wriong". (8 comments)
Weather is wreaking havoc for many sellers! - 04/16/11 12:03 PM
Weather is wreaking havoc for many sellers! At first, I thought is was just my imagination, but the TV news confirmed it this morning. We have had an abnormal amount of severe weather so far this spring. In our area, we have been spared the tornadoes, but heavy winds, lightning and hail have caused quite a bit of damage. Power outages as a result, have only made things worse. For many homeowners trying to sell their homes, it has been a real problem. Trees and branches down have made a mess everywhere. The cost of removing these trees can be quite (3 comments)

Top projects for greatest return. - 04/07/11 11:12 AM
Top projects for greatest return. Entry door replacement: A fairly easy job, without a huge expense. It will greatly enhance your home's curb appeal. Garage Door replacement: This one is costlier, but if you have an old garage door, that is falling apart, it will make quite a difference in your home's overall appeal. Siding replacement: Yes, this is one of the most expensive fixes. But, if you have old aluminum siding, or crumbling Masonite siding, it is worth every penny. Deck replacement or addition: with outdoor living being bigger than ever, this is a great upgrade. If your deck is (4 comments)

Storms rip through Greensboro - 04/05/11 10:39 AM
Storms rip through Greensboro Well, I should have known at 3:00AM, when that first monsterous thunder and lightning hit, It would be a long, rough night. One of my greyhounds immediately started whimpering and pacing and kept me up for a good part of the night.
Luckily, my home escaped damage. The wind and hail were quite strong at times. Many others in our area were not so lucky. There are still thousands without power, including traffic lights at many major intersections. Trees and power lines are down everywhere and roads are closed across the area. Some schools are closed and (2 comments)
What better time to list your home? - 04/04/11 03:56 PM
What better time to list your home? That's right, now is the perfect time to list your home for sale in Greensboro or Guilford County. The grass has turned bright green. The dogwoods and azaleas are almost in full bloom and the weather is finally warming up. That's what curb appeal is all about. Even if your home looks a bit drab otherwise, from the street it probably looks great. Hopefully, you have picked up all the dead leaves and branches and mowed the lawn. Perhaps you have planted some pansies, or the bulbs you planted last fall are about to (3 comments)
