sell: Fluorescent Bulbs and Tankless Heaters - 03/26/07 07:32 PM
janeAnne’s blog, 10+ Simple Retrofits for Older Homes , inspired me to write a little about adding energy efficient features to older homes. Yes, as janeAnne mentioned, I do have the ancient fluorescent bulb. It’s a “60 watt” screw-in version and works as well today as it did 13 years ago. #1 “I don’t need a real estate agent who’s going to cost me a bunch of money” The truth is, not having an agent when you buy a home will probably cost you money. There are some small fees that you will pay even if you don’t have an agent, but you won’t pay any more than that if you DO have an agent. In most all real estate transactions, the agents on both sides are paid by the seller. #2 “Let’s just drive around and see what’s for sale” That was OK back when gas was 32 cents a gallon,
