Moore State Park is located in Paxton, MA off of Route 31. It's a great place to visit to picnic, fly kites and walk around viewing the scenic landscape. Moore State Park started as a 400 acre retreat and then became a private estate and was bought by the state in 1965. Come witnessthe stone mill foundations, a restored sawmill and lots of mountain laurel, azaleas and rhododendrons. There are wooded paths, grassy knolls and peaceful waterfalls to enjoy.
