sturbridge ma: Speechless Sunday - A Beautiful Sky & Lots on My Mind - 01/16/11 07:00 PM
Speechless Sunday - A Beautiful Sky & Lots on My Mind

Well, it's not really a Speechless Sunday for me.  I've got a ton on my mind lately.  The rest of the world is watching football and I'm hanging out just finishing up dinner with my 4 kids getting ready to watch a chick flick.  (Something I NEVER make time for anymore!)   Thankful for the 3 day weekend.  Love when the kids are out of school.  Guess I'm the opposite of most parents when it comes to that.  My kids have a super crazy schedule this year.  When more … (1 comments)

sturbridge ma: Sal's Pizza in Sturbridge Review & NOW OPEN! - 01/07/11 11:31 AM

Sal's Pizza in Sturbridge Review & NOW OPEN! On my way home from Worcester last night I decided to pick up some Sal's Pizza for dinner.  Sal's Pizza opened up in Sturbridge 2 months ago.  Sal's comes to us straight from Boston's North End and is home of the 19" 3 lb. pizza!  We didn't order a 3 lb. pizza, but the pizzas we did pickup were HUGE!  Great size, large slices & very tasty!  Definitely recommend the onion & hamburger pizza!  So mouthwatering!   If you're in the area and looking to try some really good pizza, Sal's is the … (1 comments)

sturbridge ma: Sturbridge Woods - Sturbridge MA - Homes For Sale - 11/14/09 10:32 PM
Sturbridge Woods - Sturbridge MA is one of the area's most premiere neighborhoods.  With grand custom built homes situated on large lots, it is easy to see why this neighborhood is prestigious and sought after.  Sturbridge Woods is located within walking distance to Big Alum Lake on Old Towne Way, an elegantly dressed up street with sidewalks and decorative light posts.
Sturbridge Woods - Sturbridge MA has only had 1 home sale in the past 18 months and there are currently no homes for sale in this neighborhood.  The last home sold to date sold in May 2009 for $375,000 and what a deal for … (4 comments)

sturbridge ma: Day 82: 100 Days of Central Mass Features Cape Cod Style Homes - 11/14/09 08:46 AM
100 DAYS OF CENTRAL MASS FEATURES CAPE COD STYLE HOMES
Cape Cod style homes first originated in the late 1700s and were built by English settlers that came to America.  A former President of Yale University, Reverend Timothy Dwight, is credited with coming up with the name "Cape Cod" for this class of home styles.
Cape Cods were modeled after the half-timbered homes in England, but were altered to adapt to the stormy New England weather.  They are traditionally 1 - 1 1/2 story homes with a steep roof and side gables.  Some capes have dormers that allow extra light, space and storage.  They are simple … (2 comments)

sturbridge ma: $7 FOR A tiny PIECE OF PAPER?? Goodbye Bank of America!!! - 07/12/09 09:49 AM
Okay, I've hated Bank of America for a LONG TIME now...I use them for our company's business banking and have been wanting to switch as soon as all of our escrow money was out of there and the homes were sold.  They charge me $13 per account for all 3 of my accounts with them!!!  That in itself is highway robbery in my opinion.  The next big beef I have with them is that lately, if I deposit a check from a local bank, they hold my money for a full weekor more unless I call them every day until it … (2 comments)
