Southshore - located off Smoky Hill Road just east of E-470 in Aurora has been named "National Masterplanned Community of the Year" by the Council of the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB).
This community was the site of the 2007 Parade of Homes where homes ranged from $1.8 million to $2.6 million and were all custom built homes.    Today, there are five still available for sale, ranging from $1.825 million to $2.2 million.   All these homes featured state of the art upgrades you would not find elsewhere.

The market has changed over the last five years so much, real estate does not even look the same!    The lending industry has undergone MANY changes, especially for those first time homebuyers!    There is no longer a 100% loan available, and an FHA loan with first time home buyer assistance is very difficult to get accepted.    If you are in the market to buy your first home, be prepared to have a down payment, and pretty good credit, or your interest rate will be higher than the normal.    Keep your credit clean, no lates, no repos or bankruptcy.    This protects … (3 comments)
