this bears watching The U.S. trade deficit with the rest of the world leapfrogged in recent days: aside from goods and services, we are now importing "consensus based crisis management" from Japan. Out of fear that a cleanup of bad loans would trigger widespread defaults, Japanese banks got themselves deeper and deeper into trouble by hushing up the problems. We are talking about the crisis at Bear Stearns' subprime hedge fund. Just got this via an email newsletter form a local Broker - who got it from a local broker Thought I would pass it along. The Realtors in all the counties of Southwest Florida have developed a consolidated MLS system that covers Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee and Collier Counties, that is, the zone from Sarasota to Naples/Marco Island. This system is saying that at the end of May there were 40,192 houses for sale and that May sales were 1,431 houses. That means that there are 28 months of inventory in Southwest Florida. I keep hearing the word bottom from people. the numbers say we are not there yet. The deals are starting to show up. People are getting it. 2005 has came and gone. Its real world stuff now 847 records for the month of May. I am finding these guys do not have all the numbers in the service I buy. that may be off by 5 percent or so +/- That represents a rise from the last 2 months at 700ish, Since Jan we have been going up 125 to 150 a month in filings. we had March and April show (0 comments)
this is the net result of the boom and then bust of the real estate market, People need someone to blame. the real estate people are the easiest. Socio-Economics tells us we have a wave a pattern of thoughts and or emotions. This is part of that cycle. They loved realtors a few years ago. They dont love you now. if you wait long enough they will love you again. They media just knows how the game is played. they are trying to sell newspapers and this kind of stuff is what the public wants. being mad at them is like (2 comments)
