New Case Law for Foreclosures - 11/23/07 09:07 AM
Before we all get excited about this
THIS RULING WILL DELAY THE CYCLE AND DELAY THE HEALING OF THE MARKET
this is being appealed, they should win
this would cause the crash of the financial system
Was a bit surprised by this ruling. I think its more about a judge trying to give homeowners more time or, trying to make a name for himself
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58799
from the article
Deutsche Bank held the home loans through a packaged bundle of loans bought in what is known as a Mortgage Backed Security, or MBS, the home-owner version of the more general Collateralized Debt Obligation, or CDO, packaged by … (0 comments)

Real estate investing has been made very complicated - 11/23/07 08:57 AM
Real estate investing has been made very complicated. People have done this to sell information products. I am not knocking information products. They have helped me along the way. Never has any one product held the path to wealth. Really and truly, real estate investing is a game; some people play the game better than others. The key to success is actually playing the game. If you do not have a team on the field. You will never get a chance to score. Here is the whole game in a nutshell. Buy Low, sell high, and spend less money that you … (2 comments)

Why you should share Knowledge even when they dont get it - 11/23/07 08:55 AM
I sometimes feel like I am wasting time with some of the newer members of our chosen profession, but I remember my newer days and take a deep breath and help them as I was helped, here is whythe concept for the frustration is known as.....neko ni koban - literally "gold coins to a cat" is an idiomatic Japanese proverb with the same meaning as "casting pearls before swine" (豚に真珠, which is a translation of "pearls before swine," is commonly used as well.) SNIPPED synonyms Perler for et svin Peerloer fur iet swine - Literally "Pearls for a swine", Danish and … (0 comments)

With 2007 coming to an end, in 2008, a better way - 11/23/07 08:51 AM
I am quite excited about the prospects of the coming year. In 2007 I stayed pure, focused on Real Estate, and still made some money! The most important thing is..... I trained my mind during this down turn. Many in this market have quit investing. The latest mantra is multiple streams of income. While it is a noble concept. "He who tries to grab all the apples, usually gets none". The key is to success is to stay pure and stay focused. It's kind of like driving and talking on the cell phone. You would get better results and be much … (0 comments)

The Real Estate Market in the Rear View Mirror - 11/19/07 05:46 PM

The state of the Real Estate Market seems to be all the rage of late, Lots of conjecture, speculation and hand wringing. Unlike the stock market, which at the end of the day you know what happened. It takes time for a clear picture of the Real estate Market. The Illiquid nature of Real Estate is partial to blame for this. The process is complicated with modalities in both the administrative and recognition facets.
The current foreclosure trend illustrates this point. Last month we had 1500 filings. We are on pace to match that in November as well. Seems like the … (3 comments)

Spent some time today running numbers - 11/17/07 11:10 AM
Spent some time today running numbers I look forward to seeing the data 12 months from now; I suspect the picture will not be quite as bad. Just as the picture was not as good in 05 and 06, as we thought We have a hazy mess of a market picture Inventory numbers look quite high Unemployment is up; No question as to that, the headline leads you to think, this is Detroit now, well the numbers they are comparing against are record lows. So.........? http://www.news-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071117/BUSINESS/711170477/1075 Lee County's jobless rate rose to 5.3 percent in October, the highest rate . Oh … (0 comments)

Some Thoughts on the down market in SWFL - 11/08/07 01:09 PM
there is plenty of business being done in SWFL
if you choose to find it and adapt your business models
most choose not to adapt, so they wither on the vine
I have more money in the bank now than 2005, because I started researching and thinking
when you read news, you are reading about something that happened months ago
last month, I helped Dick Hogan write the foreclosure piece in the paper
there were over 1500 fore closures, sounds bad right?
those people stopped making payments 6 to 12 months ago???
Hmmmm.. so what so happening today?
I dump deeds from Lee County and Mortgages, each month into excel, … (0 comments)
