When you begin your search for a home, one of the first and most important steps in the process is speaking with a lender to find out what program is best and what you as a homebuyer are able to afford.

Did you know there are special programs out there just for Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians, Police Officers and Teachers.  HUD has the Good Neighbor program which allows for special home ownership incentives.
HUD offers an incentive of about 50% discount off the price of the home.  What do you have to do?  Show proof that you fit in one of the Good Neighbor groups, agree to live in the home as your primary residence for at least 36 months, and qualify with one of HUD's approved lenders.
